The jigging machine from Binder+Co works according to the principle where the sorting effect is based on the different initial settling movement of the grains. It is the plant of choice when it comes to separating wood and “lights” from gravel with grain sizes from 4-32 mm. Our jigging machine yields impressive results with low maintenance, low running costs and high availability. Its wear-protected design moreover ensures a long service life even under demanding conditions.

The centrepiece of the jigging machine is the stationary jig box with jig plate. During operation the lower box and jig box are filled with water and connected via a membrane. The periodically pulsating water flow via the jig plate necessary for the settling movement comes from the lower box which is actuated by an eccentric shaft. The jig feed is thus periodically raised and the grains of the jig feed settle in the direction of the jig plate after each stroke depending on their individual initial settling movement. Due to the inclination of the jig plate, the jig feed moves in a longitudinal direction above and away from the jig plate and is separated at the end of the jig box into heavy material and light material.
