Binder+Co AG on a successful course with “PROCESS MANAGEMENT”
Binder+Co AG Gleisdorf will again reap an operating profit of more than 5% with a turnover in excess of 39m euros. A further rise is expected for 2005. Quality is winning in importance all over the world. In international tenders, quality is a crucial factor of success next to price and technical competence in problem solving. That’s why Binder+Co AG has adopted process management and continuous improvement process according to Kaizen.
New organisation of processes ensures a lead in quality
Binder+Co AG has invested almost 500,000 euros in the last two years in optimising its process organisation and securing the high quality standards of its products.
Together with the renowned consultancy company, Merten Management GmbH, the whole process landscape of each work place – from sales and production to after sales – has been thoroughly investigated in the last 18 months with a view to potential improvement. All employees were involved in this project. Special attention was given to eliminating processes yielding no added value.
“The potentials thus released can now be used for the even more intensive care of our world-wide customers” said a very satisfied CEO, Dr. Karl Grabner, whose creed has always been innovation, quality and thinned-down organisation, “since customers are interested in technical solutions and operation of machinery without interruption.”
Quality now “officially” confirmed
“Products and services bearing the name of Binder+Co AG are subject to strict quality criteria. If you fulfil such high quality standards, why shouldn’t you have them confirmed by an independent institute?“ says Binder+Co AG’s quality appointee, Mr Franz Renner, posing the crucial question. “Furthermore, by being able to show a recognised quality certificate, we save ourselves a lot of time giving reasons and specifications to our customers.”
The audit was carried out in November 2004 by Werner Baumgartner and Norbert Melcher, both auditors of TÜV Austria. The ISO 9001:2000 certificate was personally presented by Mr Reinhard Fröhlich – head of the Austrian certification office – on 7th December 2004.
With certification according to the EN ISO 9001:2000 standard, Binder+Co AG has impressively demonstrated the implementation of a holistic management system comprising the whole area of R&D, production and customer services.
