Binder+Co Paper recycling

When Binder+Co decided to take action in the field of waste paper recycling the target was to design a flexible sorting module to achieve the growing requirements on accuracy and reliability in the processing of waste paper.
 
The higher the quality of the waste paper fraction by means of sort purity, the better it can be used as a secondary raw material. A decisive quality criterion is whether it is composed of bleached (chiefly paper) or unbleached (chiefly cardboard) fibres. Furthermore, the stock of long pulp fibres in recycling is crucial for the constant quality of the end product. Separating short-fibre cardboard materials from the long-fibre papers is becoming increasingly important in paper processing.
 
The result of the intensive development work is called CARTAGO, which is the worlds very first fully automatic system to sort cardboard out of the valuable de-inking fraction. This gives the possibility to automatically produce paper- and cardboard fractions of highest purity.
 
The system uses the most modern camera technology, creates the lowest possible amount of maintenance costs and can easily be adopted to different throughput quantities.
