The future in Glass processing

Our leading role in technology is forcing us to innovation. Having had longstanding experience in the processing of waste glass, we set out to develop COMPACT. The target was KSP sorting and colour improvement in cullet processing with the most modern camera technology.
 
The solution is COMPACT. It has a proven modular design and can be considered the COMPACT heart piece in a state of the art glass recycling plant. Revolutionaryis the light source, for the very first time LED provide non disturbed, steady light.
 
Besides being mostly user friendly, the modern design of the machine is notable. Binder+Co is setting new standards in esthetical matters and industrial design.

The Sorting of heatresistant glass, like for instance borosilica glass or glass ceramics, is a major request in modern glass processing. The big challange is, that heat resistant glass can hardly be separated from ordinary glass only due to its colour information. A system to use further information as explicit sorting parameter is requested.

The latest generation of COMPACT cameras are to be used that overview the range of UV (ultraviolet) to VIS (visible) light wavelength. The system uses a physical effect called "Cut-off". It is one of the characteristics of heat resistant glass and glass ceramics to absorb uv - light of a certain wavelength. This makes the "Cut-off" a clear criterion for differentiation. To grant highest efficiency and a lowest possible amount of glass loss, the colour information in the VIS - wavelength is to be analysed additionally.

The COMPACT HR technology is absolutely nonhazardous and can easily be integrated in existing plants and proscesses. No special construction or design work is necesaryand legal permission is not requested! COMPACT is the compact state-of-the-art techology for the sorting of heat resistant glass!
