CLARITY

State-of-the-art waste glass processing technology brought to you by Binder+Co AG

The newest generation of waste glass separation machines goes by the name of CLARITY. Once again we have proven our innovation power, since CLARITY is the first three-way system available on the market. Both the color separation of waste glass and the removal of impurities, such as ceramics, stone, and porcelain (CSP), is effected by one and the same machine.

Principle

With CLARITY waste glass can now be separated in three fractions. The wrong colors, such as brown and green, as well as impurities, such as ceramics, stone, and porcelain are removed so that the fraction passing through comprises white glass only.

CLARITY is the first machine to employ a camera system to recognize CSP. Compared to the time-tested CLARITY technology, the tact frequency of the camera module was enhanced by another 25%, increasing the number of recognition features in smaller objects. Moreover, the computer performance of the camera was improved. Additionally programmed algorithms enhance color recognition and ultimately sorting precision.

The Sorting of heatresistant glass, like for instance borosilica glass or glass ceramics, is a major request in modern glass processing. The big challange is, that heat resistant glass can hardly be separated from ordinary glass only due to its colour information. A system to use further information as explicit sorting parameter is requested.

The latest generation of CLARITY cameras are to be used that overview the range of UV (ultraviolet) to VIS (visible) light wavelength. The system uses a physical effect called "Cut-off". It is one of the characteristics of heat resistant glass and glass ceramics to absorb uv - light of a certain wavelength. This makes the "Cut-off" a clear criterion for differentiation. To grant highest efficiency and a lowest possible amount of glass loss, the colour information in the VIS - wavelength is to be analysed additionally.

The CLARITY HR technology is absolutely nonhazardous and can easily be integrated in existing plants and proscesses. No special construction or design work is necesary and legal permission is not requested! CLARITY is the compact state-of-the-art techology for the sorting of heat resistant glass!
