Delabeling machine
Cullet often has a high proportion of labels and coating residues from paper, metal and plastics which hamper the clear-cut classification of glass quality by means of optical separators. Wrong sorting and over-sorting, also known as glass loss, is the consequence.
Based on many years of experience in wet processing bulk materials, Binder+Co has managed to further develop a log washer for the efficient removal of labels from waste cullet.
The attrition of the label materials is achieved by high wear-resistant paddles which exert a compressed rubbing action between the cullet pieces. Due to drive-speed regulation, adjustable conveying slope, and construction length of the box, the duration of operation and thus the abrasion of unwanted coatings can be optimised. At the same time, the cullet is treated in a protective way.
